Why can I return to a BSD tab without waiting for the whole screen to load again?

For registered, eligible read views, BSD can paint the last parsed answer for the same account while its ordinary request refreshes the view. The cache covers selected read data, not every screen or operation. A cached display is not proof of current access, service availability, or a current odds quote; the fresh response and current permission checks still matter.

For BSD readers returning to a tab or view they have already visited · Updated

A visited read view can paint before refresh finishes

The app keeps the last parsed answer for selected registered read views. When one of those views is revisited under the same account, the answer can fill the screen while the regular read runs again. This avoids making the reader wait for the entire view to fetch before seeing its previous content.

Eligibility is specific to registered read views. Running jobs and some live data are not treated as reusable answers, and the cache does not make every screen instant or loader-free.

  • The same eligible view and account must match.
  • The displayed answer can be older than the current source.

A cached display is not current authority

The ordinary request still refreshes the view, and definitive access or deletion responses can retire saved data. Cached content does not confirm that a source is still available, that an account still has access, or that a price or quote is current.

Treat the refreshed result and current access checks as authoritative. The cache is a way to show a previously parsed read answer, not a way to bypass permissions or reuse an old price.

Returning to a previously visited view

Imagine a reader opens an eligible BSD read view, visits another tab, then returns. The prior parsed answer can appear while a fresh request runs. If the source has changed or access is no longer allowed, the current response and access check—not the old display—determine what remains available.

Related questions

Does every BSD screen return instantly?

No. Only registered eligible read views use this cache; the source does not promise every screen is instant or loader-free.

Does seeing cached data mean it is current?

No. It is the last parsed answer and may be older; the normal refresh and current access checks still apply.
