Who can see the status of a BSD club report?

The customer status projection for a free-club post report is available to the reporter and to the person whose content was reported. Those are two different case roles, and each status read still depends on current account, club and source checks. Being another member of the club does not by itself make someone a participant in that report. This describes the customer status view, not a complete staff-access or data-retention policy.

The reporter and the reported-content subject are separate participants

The reporter is the member who submitted the report. The subject is the person whose club post was reported. BSD's customer status projection permits either of these participants to read the case status, when the current access checks allow it.

A club can have many members, but club membership alone does not make every member a reporter or subject for each case. The status projection is scoped to the case participants rather than shared with the whole club.

Access is checked when the status is requested

The status request checks the signed-in account against the case's reporter and subject roles and checks that the case still matches its club and current source. A missing, changed or no-longer-authorized case may be returned as unavailable.

Unavailable does not mean the report was dismissed. It means this customer view could not confirm the case status under the current checks.

  • Use the account that submitted the report, or the account for the person whose post was reported.
  • Open the same free club and saved case reference when checking status.
  • Do not treat a club-wide feed change as permission to inspect someone else's case.

This status view does not define every form of case access

These rules describe the current customer status projection for free-club report cases. They do not state a complete policy for authorized moderation work, internal operations, data retention or anonymity.

If you cannot access a case that belongs to your reporter or subject role, keep its reference and contact BSD through the published support channel.

Hypothetical: a reporter and a post's author check one case

Suppose one free-club member reports another member's post. The reporting member and the person whose post was reported are the case's two customer participants. Each may request the case status if current account, club and source checks still allow it. A third member who only shares the club does not become a participant just by opening the feed. This example describes the customer status projection only; it does not explain staff access or every handling of case evidence.
