Why can a recent streak be only a lower bound when older results are missing?
If the captured history begins with the same result category that continues through the latest event, the full run may have started before the first available row. The visible sequence establishes only a minimum within the captured history. State the category, cutoff, captured run, and history boundary; call it “at least” the observed length unless the relevant earlier record is known to be complete.

Check where the captured history starts
Read outcomes in chronological order and identify the oldest event included. If the latest category continues all the way back to that boundary while earlier events are absent, the boundary may truncate the streak. A count of visible rows cannot establish when the run began.
Describe the evidence you have
Report the repeated category and that it appears across at least the captured sequence, along with the time window and coverage limit. Use an exact streak length only when the relevant history is complete through the start of the run. Unknown older outcomes remain unknown, not assumed breaks.
Hypothetical history-boundary check
In a hypothetical export, the latest result category repeats back to the earliest available row, and the export notes that older events are missing. Describe the visible run as at least the captured sequence and disclose the boundary. It may have started earlier; this is not a complete-record claim.

Can the first row in an export prove a streak started there?
Only if the source establishes that the applicable history is complete from that point. Otherwise, the first row may be a capture boundary rather than the start of the run.
