What should I do when BSD says a notification read action was not confirmed?

If BSD says the read result was not confirmed, use Retry saved read action when it appears. That retries the saved command for the same account; it does not create a different read request or guarantee that the network will respond.

For BSD readers handling this notification task · Updated

BSD saves the exact read request

Before sending a single-item or read-all command, BSD saves the account owner, command key, and command body. If the response is lost or acknowledgement fails, the app can load that saved operation and ask the server about the same request again.

That account binding matters. The saved operation belongs to the account that created it; it is not a general read command to reuse under another account.

Choose the retry that matches the status

When a saved read is pending, the Notifications screen labels the control Retry saved read action. If saved state could not be loaded, the separate recovery control is Retry read recovery. Use the one the screen offers, then wait for the app to report the result.

The retry keeps the saved command key and body. Avoid pressing Mark all read again while the first operation is still unconfirmed, because that would be a new action with a different boundary.

A retry checks the saved result

A retry is account-bound recovery, not offline access to the inbox and not a promise that the network will succeed. If BSD still cannot confirm it, follow the status shown and use the same saved-action control if it remains available. This behavior applies to read actions on the supported free-club reply and like inbox rows; it makes no delivery promise.

A lost read acknowledgement

Imagine a member taps Mark all read, but the response does not reach the app. The app has already saved the exact account, key, and command. Choosing Retry saved read action checks that same server operation rather than creating another read-all request.

Should I create a second read-all action?

Not while a saved action is pending. Use Retry saved read action so BSD checks the original command and its result.

Does retry guarantee that the action will finish?

No. It retries the saved operation, but the app does not promise eventual network success.
