What information should I include when reporting a broken club resource link?
Include the resource title, the club or location where you saw the link, the destination host or a safely redacted path, what happened, and when you tried it. Add the device or browser and the steps that led to the link only if they help explain the issue. Do not include passwords, login codes, private resource text, attachment contents, or secret URL parameters. A clear report helps someone investigate, but it does not promise that a link can be restored.

Give enough context to find the same link
Name the resource and club, then describe where the link appears, such as a section heading or a sentence near it. If the destination is safe to share, include its public host and path. If the address contains a token or other private value, remove that part and say that you redacted it.
- Resource title and club context.
- The visible label or nearby text for the link.
- A redacted destination or domain when sharing the full URL would expose a secret.
Describe what you observed
State whether the link showed an error, opened the wrong destination, or failed to load, and record the approximate date and time. Include the browser or device only when relevant. A short sequence of steps is more useful than saying only that the link is broken.
Keep private material out of the report
Club resources and attachments can be access-controlled. Do not copy a private resource body or attachment into a general report to prove the link problem. Never send passwords, sign-in codes, session values, or a complete URL that contains secret parameters. Describe the issue without reproducing content you are not authorized to share.
Hypothetical example: a useful link report
A fictional member might report: “In the Northside club’s ‘Travel notes’ resource, the ‘Venue map’ link returned a not-found page at about 3 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday in Safari on iPhone. The destination domain was example.org; I removed the private query value.” This gives context without copying the resource or exposing a token.

No. Share the title and location of the link, not private resource text or attachment contents.
Should I include the full destination URL?
Only if it is safe to share. Remove tokens, credentials, and other private query values before sending it.
