Why does BSD ask me to refresh when a post changes before I report it?
A report is tied to the version of the free-club post that you reviewed. BSD checks that the post revision is still current before accepting your submission. If the post changed, the app clears that stale pending attempt, refreshes the club and asks you to select the post again. The message identifies a changed source, not a moderation decision; it does not say the report was accepted or dismissed.
For BSD members whose free-club report screen asks them to refresh a changed post · Updated
A report uses the post revision you reviewed
When you begin reporting a free-club post, BSD reads the current post and binds the request to its revision. The server checks that expected revision before submitting the report.
If someone edits the post between the read and the submission, the request no longer matches the current source. BSD rejects that stale attempt rather than attaching your reason and details to a different version.
Refresh the club and select the post again
The report screen's message says the post changed and asks you to refresh the club and select it again. Review the current post before deciding whether you still want to report that version.
The old expected revision is not silently updated into a new report. Starting from the refreshed post lets the next request use the current revision and your current reason and optional details.
- Use the refresh-and-select-again instruction shown by BSD.
- Read the current post before preparing a new report.
- Do not repeatedly submit the stale request or edit another member's post.
A refresh prompt is not a report status
A changed-post response is a source-revision check. It is not Pending review, In review, Decision upheld, Decision dismissed or Appealed.
If you already have a separate accepted case reference, check that case's current status. The refresh prompt by itself does not show whether any other report was accepted, erased or decided.
Hypothetical: the post changes while the report is open
Suppose a member opens Report post on a club item and selects a reason. Before the request is accepted, the author updates the post. BSD's current-revision check rejects the stale request and the app says to refresh the club and select the post again. The member can review the updated text and decide whether it still needs a report. The message is not a decision about the post or an accepted-report receipt.

Does the refresh message mean my report was dismissed?
No. It reports a revision mismatch before the report receipt. It is not a moderation outcome for that post.
Can I submit the old report again without refreshing?
The old revision does not match the current post. Follow the app's instruction to refresh and select the post again before preparing a new report.
