Can I rejoin a free club after leaving it?

You can request membership in the same free club again if it is still active and your current account, profile and club access pass the checks. First confirm the current membership state; if it already says you are a member, do not repeat the join action. Rejoining uses that club and account, so you do not need to create a new club or account. It does not guarantee that private content or staff roles will be restored.

For BSD readers who left a free club and are considering returning · Updated

Check whether you are already a member

BSD's current service can return membership state for a specific free club, including whether the signed-in account is currently a member. Use the latest state before requesting another change; the membership action is designed around the current state, so a repeated or stale request can be refused.

If the current state still shows membership, there is no need to rejoin. If it shows that you are not a member, continue only if the same club remains active and the current product offers a join option. The source confirms the state and membership operations, not exact screen labels.

Rejoin the same club with your existing account

Leaving changes your membership in that club. The membership record is tied to the club and your account profile, so returning is another club-specific membership change rather than creating a new club or signing up for another BSD account.

The join request still checks current eligibility. The club must be active, your profile must meet current requirements, and the club must allow your access. A closed club or a restricted profile cannot be bypassed by treating the request as a fresh membership.

Membership does not promise the same content or role

Club membership and access to private content are related but separately checked. Rejoining is not a promise that old discussions will be visible again, that a previous view will be restored, or that you will regain a staff role.

The current membership action handles member state. The source does not promise that all content, permissions or roles from before leaving will return unchanged.

Hypothetical: returning to the same active club

Imagine a reader left a free club and later checks its current membership state. The state shows the reader is not a member, the club is still active, and the account passes current access checks. If the current BSD product offers a join option, the reader can request membership in that same club with the same account. The reader does not create a second club, and the example makes no promise about previous discussions or staff permissions.

Related questions

Do I need a new account or a new club to rejoin?

No. Rejoining is a membership change for the same club and signed-in account, when current club and profile checks allow it.

Will I regain the same private discussions or staff access?

That is not guaranteed. The current service checks membership and content permissions separately, and the membership action does not promise restoration of a former staff role.
