Why is no standard History window card highlighted after selecting YTD or three months?

The standard History strip contains Today, Yesterday, 7 days, 30 days, and All. YTD and three months are different range selections, so they do not map to one of those five card identifiers. The query can still use the selected range and show its own label even though none of the standard cards is highlighted. This does not mean records are missing or that a custom-date control exists.

For Bettors selecting extended History ranges · Updated

The strip has five standard identifiers

History maps the highlighted card to a day selection or to the 7-day, 30-day, or All range. Today and Yesterday are the two day cards; the other standard cards represent 7 days, 30 days, and All.

The strip renders only those five card identifiers. It does not add a separate YTD or three-month card when an extended range is selected.

An extended range can remain selected without a card

For ranges such as YTD or three months, the selected-window mapping returns no standard card identifier. The range label still describes the selected view, such as This year or 3 months.

No highlighted card is therefore a selection-state distinction, not evidence that the query failed or that History omitted records. It also does not promise a new custom-date range feature.

  • The five cards remain Today, Yesterday, 7 days, 30 days, and All.
  • YTD and three months are outside those card identifiers.
  • A blank card highlight does not mean the range is inactive.

Use the selected range label

When comparing results, read the active range label and the records shown for that selection. The highlighted card is only the standard-strip representation for one of its five identifiers.

Do not infer a missing date range or create a new custom range from the absence of a highlight.

Selecting an extended range

Hypothetically, a reader selects YTD. The range label can say This year while none of the five standard cards is highlighted, because YTD has no matching card identifier. The selected range remains distinct from the 7-day, 30-day, and All cards.
