What does Before recorded placement mean beside a saved Grade in BSD History?

It means the saved Grade was available before the placement time recorded for the associated ticket. History compares those recorded times. The label does not show that anyone opened, read or followed the Grade, or independently prove that a wager was placed.

For BSD readers interpreting a saved Grade timing label in History · Updated

The label compares Grade availability with recorded placement

Open the timing details for the saved Grade and read its Available time. That is the time attached to the report becoming available in the History record. History compares it with the ticket's recorded placement time, when that time is known.

If the report became available earlier than the recorded placement time, the label says Before recorded placement. If it became available at or after that time, the label says At or after recorded placement. The comparison is about those timestamps, not the game start or the time you view History.

It establishes recorded order, not awareness

A timing label can help answer whether the saved report was available before the placement time stored with this record. It cannot show that the report appeared on someone's screen. History displays a separate app-display receipt when one is recorded; without that receipt, whether the Grade was opened is unknown.

Even a display receipt does not prove the person read or followed the advice. A saved Grade and a recorded placement are separate records. Do not turn their timestamp order into a claim about what the bettor saw, decided or did.

Check how placement time was recorded

History can associate a Grade with an imported ticket or a manual ticket. Placement may come from provider data or a self-reported entry. A time labeled recorded placement is the time in that saved record; it is not a second confirmation that a sportsbook accepted a wager.

If the record was changed or linked, check its source and timing details before interpreting the comparison. The timing label does not decide which record is correct when the stored placement itself is disputed.

When placement time is unknown, the comparison stays unknown

If the ticket has no recorded placement time, History cannot determine whether the report was available before it. The label is Placement time unknown. A report timestamp, display receipt, claimed viewing time or changed-ticket reference cannot fill in the missing placement time.

Illustrative timing comparison

Suppose a hypothetical History entry shows that a Grade became available at 8:00 and the associated ticket's recorded placement time is 8:05. The report was available before the placement time in the record. If the entry has no app-display receipt, whether anyone opened the Grade is still unknown. These example times describe no actual account, ticket or decision.

Related questions

Does Before recorded placement prove someone followed the Grade?

No. It compares report availability with the recorded placement time. It does not prove the person saw, read or followed the report.

What if the ticket has no placement time?

History marks the placement timing unknown. Without that timestamp, it cannot order report availability against placement.
