Why are some open bets grouped as futures in History?

History puts an item in Futures when its record is open, has at least one leg, and every leg carries the source marker that it is a future. This is a display grouping based on saved record fields. It does not predict an outcome, settle the wager, guarantee a result, or mean BSD supports a new futures market.

For Bettors reviewing open bet groups in History · Updated

The grouping follows saved record fields

The source rule checks three things: the record is open, it has at least one leg, and every leg is marked as a future in its original data. When all three conditions hold, History places the item in the Futures group.

If a record has no legs or one leg lacks the future marker, it does not meet this rule and can remain in the regular Open bets group.

  • The record must be open.
  • It must have at least one leg.
  • Every leg must carry the future marker.

Futures is a label, not an outcome

The label describes how History groups an existing open record. It does not say whether a future event will happen, how a sportsbook will grade the ticket, or when it will settle.

The grouping does not create or advertise a new betting market. It uses markers already present on the record's legs and keeps those open items visually separate.

Review the saved item for its details

An item in Futures is still open, so it is different from a settled result. Review the underlying ticket information separately and use the sportsbook's own settlement record for settlement authority.

Interpret Futures as a subset of the open list that meets the all-legs condition, not as a forecast or performance category.

Two open items, two groups

Hypothetically, one open record has two legs and both source records mark them as futures, so History places it under Futures. A second open record has a leg without that marker and stays under Open bets. Neither group says how either ticket will settle.
