Who should I contact about a change to a club event?

Contact the club owner/admin or the person the club identifies as responsible for the event. They can confirm whether the time, link, or status is current and make an authorized change if needed. Do not assume that being a club member or having RSVP’d gives you permission to edit or cancel someone else’s event. If no organizer is named, use the contact method the club already provides to reach its owner/admin. This guidance does not promise a particular messaging or support feature.

Start with the event’s organizer or club owner/admin

The person managing the club event is the right place to confirm a proposed change. Share the event title and the specific detail that looks wrong so they can check the current record.

If the club has not identified an organizer, ask its owner/admin through a contact method already provided by the club. Avoid assuming that any member can change another person’s event.

An RSVP is not an event edit

An RSVP records a member’s response. It is different from editing the event’s title, time, time zone, URL, or cancellation state. If you only need to say you cannot attend, update your RSVP if that option is available; contact the organizer for changes to the event itself.

A proposed time change

Suppose a member sees that a club event conflicts with another commitment and suggests moving it. The member can tell the event organizer or club owner/admin; the organizer confirms and makes any authorized edit. The member’s RSVP alone does not change the event time.

Can any club member edit a club event?

Do not assume so. The recorded BSD event source routes create, edit, and cancel actions through club-manager authorization. For a current event, ask the club owner/admin or named organizer.
