Can I edit a club discussion the same way I would edit a recorded pick?
No. An eligible club discussion supports an edit to its text, with a current revision and a 1–4,000-character limit. The edit moves the discussion to pending review. A posted capper pick follows a different record rule: it cannot be edited, and removing it keeps the pick and result labelled deleted after posting.
For BSD readers deciding whether a club discussion or a recorded pick can be edited · Updated
An eligible discussion edit changes its text
The club edit input accepts trimmed text from 1 to 4,000 characters and requires the expected revision. The edit path applies to the author’s eligible discussion post; deleted or withheld posts are not included in that edit path. The service returns the edited post in pending state.
A posted pick is locked for record integrity
BSD’s capper rule says a posted pick cannot be edited. Removing it afterward leaves the pick and its result in the record with a deleted-after-posting label. The discussion edit control is not a way to rewrite a pick or erase its record evidence.
Correct conversation without rewriting the pick
Use discussion editing for a correction to an eligible discussion text. Read a recorded pick through its original record and result. Do not assume that every post type or historical item has the same edit behavior.
Hypothetical example: a discussion typo and a posted pick
Suppose someone spots a typo in their own eligible club discussion. They can submit corrected discussion text using its current revision; the resulting discussion enters pending review. If the text instead describes a posted capper pick, they cannot use that edit path to change the pick. No real club post or pick is represented.

Can I change a pick after it has been posted?
No. BSD’s capper record rule says a posted pick cannot be edited.
Does an edited discussion instantly return as approved?
The edit path returns the discussion in pending state; it does not mark it approved.
Can every old club post be edited?
Do not assume that. The edit path is limited to an eligible author-owned discussion and checks the current revision and post state.
