How do I ask Doctor a general question without attaching the slip in my tray?

In a fresh Doctor chat, check the slip chip above the composer. If it is attached and you want to ask without that ticket, use the chip's X control labeled Send without the slip before sending your question. That control applies to the current fresh-chat attachment; it does not remove a ticket binding from a conversation that is already open. Removing the tray slip controls only that attachment, not separately permitted History or confirmed memory. A Grade is a second opinion, not a pick.

For BSD readers who want to ask a general Doctor question without the slip currently in their tray. · Updated

Look for the slip chip in a fresh chat

When a fresh Doctor conversation can attach the picks in your tray, the composer shows a slip chip. Read it before sending so you know which ticket the question would include. If the chip is not shown, this specific detach control is not available in that context.

  • Confirm that Doctor is starting a fresh chat, not continuing a ticket-bound conversation.
  • Read the visible slip chip before you send.
  • If you want a general question, tap the X labeled Send without the slip, then send your text.

The X changes the attachment, not the chat's other permissions

Dismissing the chip means the fresh message is not opened with that tray ticket attached. It does not detach context from an already bound conversation, and it is not a control for History or confirmed memory. Those sources have their own access and eligibility rules.

Ask the general question you actually mean

After removing the visible chip, write a question that stands on its own. The composer attachment choice does not promise an answer or bypass the usual Doctor access, consent or funding checks.

Hypothetical example: ask about a general concept

Suppose a fresh Doctor chat shows a slip chip from your tray, but you want to ask what the term correlation means. Tap Send without the slip first, then send that general question. The chip's X changes whether that tray ticket is attached; it does not erase the ticket or remove other separately permitted context. This is a synthetic example, not a real slip or answer.

Can I remove the slip from a conversation that already uses it?

The dismiss control is for an available fresh-chat attachment. Do not assume it changes a ticket binding on an already open conversation.

Does sending without the slip turn off History or confirmed memory?

No. The slip chip controls that ticket attachment only. Any other context remains subject to its separate permissions and eligibility.
