GUIDES · BETSLIP DOCTOR
How do I continue my Doctor conversation when the Grade report is ready but its reply is delayed?
First check the existing analysis in History → Saved Grades. If its report is available, open that report and return to Doctor from it. The report and the conversation's completion reply can become available at different times. A missing reply alone does not tell you that the Grade failed. A Grade is a second opinion, not a pick.

Check the analysis before repeating the request
Open History in the iPhone app, choose Saved Grades, and find the analysis using its title and date. If you can open the saved report, you already have research to review even if Doctor has not yet shown its accompanying explanation.
If the entry still shows work in progress, open it and use Check status. That checks the existing analysis. It is different from starting another Grade. Research can continue after you leave the analysis screen, and you can return there for the saved result.
Return through the same saved report
Use Ask Doctor on the report, or Open Doctor on its saved-analysis entry. If you already know the conversation, you can also open Doctor's menu and select it under Recents. Check the attached Grade before continuing so a similarly named slip does not send you into the wrong discussion.
The current iPhone flow continues checking for the matching completion message after a Grade finishes. This check is bounded. It is not a promise that every reply will appear immediately or that leaving a screen open indefinitely will fix an unavailable result.
Choose the next step from the state you can see
A delayed explanation, a running analysis and a report that cannot be checked call for different actions. Use the message on the saved analysis rather than guessing from the chat alone.
- Report opens, reply missing: read the report and reopen its bound Doctor chat to check for the explanation.
- Analysis still running: use Check status on that saved analysis and return for its result.
- Analysis ended without a report: read the displayed status or failure explanation; do not treat it as a completed Grade.
- Saved report cannot be verified: use Check saved report or the displayed retry control. Do not substitute another report as evidence for this one.
- A persistent problem remains: contact support with the screen, approximate time, device and the status you saw. Do not include passwords or sign-in codes.
Continue from what the report actually contains
Once the intended report is attached and the conversation is available, ask a focused question about a finding or missing piece of evidence. If the analysis is inconclusive, the conversation cannot make its unavailable research complete merely by describing it differently.
Older chats are not guaranteed to receive a newly inserted automatic completion reply. You can still check whether their saved report is available. Reopening a report, requesting a new Doctor answer and starting a new Grade are separate actions; follow the access and quote shown for any new request rather than assuming a delay creates an extra entitlement.
Illustrative example: report first, explanation later
Suppose you return to a conversation and see no final Doctor reply. In Saved Grades, the matching analysis opens a report with source-backed findings. Read that report, then use its Ask Doctor action to return to the right conversation. If you continue, ask which finding needs the most careful reading, rather than launching an identical Grade just to make text appear in the chat. If no report opens, use the displayed status or retry path instead. This is a synthetic workflow example, not a measured completion time or a customer result.
Related questions
Does an empty final reply mean my saved report is gone?
Not by itself. Check the matching entry in Saved Grades. The report's availability and the chat's completion message are separate things to verify.
How long should I wait for the explanation?
There is no guaranteed completion time in this guide. Check the existing analysis, reopen the matching conversation, and use support if the problem persists instead of relying on an endless wait.
