What is the difference between removal from one club and deletion of a BSD account?

Club removal is scoped to a particular club and profile. The member-control request and receipt name that club and profile and record a blocked state for the club relationship. That is different from a BSD account-deletion action, which is not defined by this club contract. Do not interpret a local club action as deleting the person's account, saved Grades, or other account-wide data.

The removal request names a club

The member-control action is issued for a club and a target profile, with remove or restore as the action. Its receipt carries the club ID and profile ID, along with the control revision and blocked state.

That scope describes a local club relationship. The action does not contain a request to close or delete the whole BSD account.

Account deletion is a different operation

A person can have a profile and records beyond one club. A club moderator's member-control action does not establish that those account-level records were deleted or changed.

The club contract does not define the account-deletion process or its effects. Do not promise that a local removal deletes all BSD data, and do not use it as a substitute for the separate account process.

  • Club removal applies to the identified club and profile.
  • It is not an account-deletion receipt.
  • Do not infer changes to saved research or other clubs from this action.

State exactly what changed

When explaining a removal, identify it as a club-level access or moderation action. If someone is asking about their BSD account, saved reports, or another club, treat that as a separate scope and follow its current authorized process.

This prevents a club-level change from being mistaken for a platform-wide deletion.

One club, one profile

Hypothetically, a member-control receipt names a particular club and profile with the blocked state set after removal. It records a change for that club relationship. It does not say the person's BSD account or other records were deleted.
