How does a club owner close a free club?
The current owner can change a free club's lifecycle state from active to closed, subject to the current owner and state checks. A closed club no longer passes the ordinary access check or appears among active free-club directory candidates. Closing changes the club's state; it does not mean each member left or promise permanent data or account deletion. The recorded backend source does not establish a universal app control or button path.

The lifecycle change is reserved for the current owner
The free-club lifecycle operation accepts an active or closed state and checks that the acting account is the club's current owner. It also uses the current state revision, so a stale change can be rejected if the club changed in the meantime.
Use a lifecycle control only if the current BSD client presents one to the owner. The backend record supports an owner-controlled state change but does not establish exact navigation or button wording.
A closed club fails ordinary access and directory checks
The current free-club access rule requires an active lifecycle state. The directory considers active free clubs and then filters candidates through current access, so a closed club is not treated as an active discovery result.
Do not assume a closed club remains publicly visible or that an old link will continue to work. Access is checked against the current state.
Closing the club is different from a member leaving
A member's leave action changes that person's membership in one club. Closing is an owner-level change to the club's lifecycle state, with effects on ordinary access checks for the club as a whole.
The source retains a closed lifecycle state; it does not describe closure as deleting the owner's BSD account, wiping records, or permanently erasing the club. Do not infer deletion from the word close.
Hypothetical: an owner closes an active free club
Imagine a club owner checks the current lifecycle state and sees that the free club is active. If the current BSD product offers the owner a close control and the owner remains eligible, the owner can request the closed state using the current state. Ordinary directory and access checks then stop treating it as an active club. This does not delete the owner's account or represent each member choosing to leave.

Does closing a club make every member leave?
No. Closure changes the club's owner-controlled lifecycle state. A member leaving is a separate club-specific membership action.
Does closing permanently delete the club or my BSD account?
The recorded lifecycle source retains a closed club state. It does not define closing as permanent club-record or account deletion.
