Does a report status screen reveal the report text or private review evidence?

The free-club customer status projection returns case details such as its state, revision and decision metadata; the club case list also includes the target and whether an appeal is available. It does not include the report body, appeal body or private review evidence in that status response. The source stores report and appeal text separately as case evidence, so its absence from the status view does not mean it was never stored or define who may access it elsewhere.

For BSD members wondering whether a report status exposes report text or review evidence · Updated

A status response is a limited case projection

The status response contains a case identifier, current state, revision, decision identifier, outcome and a classifier field. The free-club case list adds the target reference and a canAppeal value. These fields let the app show review progress and an eligible action without returning the report narrative in the status object.

The Your content review card displays the status label and, when the case qualifies, the appeal form. It is not a copy of the original report or a reviewer evidence file.

Report and appeal text are stored separately from status

The moderation source writes a submitted report's reason and body into a separate case-evidence record. An appeal body is also recorded separately for its linked appeal case. The status projection does not return those bodies or the private review evidence digest.

This distinction describes the customer status response only. It does not say that report evidence is never stored, encrypted in a particular way, or inaccessible to authorized review systems or staff.

Do not infer a full privacy policy from one screen

A missing text field in the status response tells you what that response contains; it is not a complete statement about every place case information is handled. The current source does not establish a complete staff-access, retention or anonymity policy.

For the question of what is shown in the status view, rely on the status projection itself rather than assuming that the report body or reviewer evidence is included.

Hypothetical: checking an In review case

Suppose a member opens a free-club case that says In review. The customer status response can identify that case and report its review state, decision fields and target metadata. It does not return the report narrative or private reviewer evidence in that status projection. The source separately stores report text as case evidence, so the empty status view does not prove that the text was discarded or that nobody authorized can access it.

Related questions

Does an empty status screen mean BSD discarded my report text?

No. The status projection omits the body, while the moderation source stores report text separately as case evidence. The status response alone does not describe all evidence handling.

Does this mean staff can never see the evidence?

No. The customer status response does not establish staff blindness or a complete internal access policy.
