How can I appeal a moderation decision about my own club post?
If the matching Your content review card for your own free-club post shows Appeal decision, open it, write your appeal details and submit. The appeal must match that case, decision and post, and only the person whose content was reported can file it. Submission records an appeal; it does not guarantee that the decision will change or that the post will reappear. The source does not promise a separate inbox for finding every subject case, so follow the eligible action when the matching review is available.
For BSD members whose own free-club post has an appeal-eligible content decision · Updated
Start with the exact content review for your post
Use the free-club Your content review that refers to your own post. If its status and target match that post and it offers Appeal decision, the app has surfaced an eligible appeal action for that case.
The current sources do not establish that every subject case appears in a dedicated appeals inbox. Do not appeal a different member's case or assume a missing card means the decision was denied on its merits.
Write a reason tied to that decision
Choose Appeal decision, explain why you are challenging the specific moderation decision, then submit the appeal. The field is required and accepts 1 to 2,000 characters; the app does not submit an empty appeal body.
The request is bound to the current case ID, decision ID, club-post target and source revision. BSD checks that the signed-in person is the content subject and that the case and source still meet the appeal rules.
- Keep the explanation about the decision on this post.
- Submit from the matching case rather than starting a new report.
- If the app says the case is unavailable or stale, do not treat that message as an appeal decision.
An appeal is a request for another review, not an instant reversal
After an accepted appeal, the original case is marked Appealed and a linked appeal case is created. That records that the subject challenged the decision; it does not itself overturn the original outcome or promise restored visibility.
The appeal action is limited to an eligible decision on the subject's own content. The available sources do not promise a review deadline or a particular result.
Hypothetical: appealing a decision on your own post
Suppose your own post in a free club has a decided content review, and the matching card shows Appeal decision. You write a concise explanation about that decision and submit it from the card. The request is tied to the same decision and post and is checked against your subject role and current source revision. If accepted, the original case can show Appealed. Filing does not guarantee that the post will return or that the appeal will be upheld.

Can another club member file the appeal for me?
The appeal source requires the signed-in actor to be the subject of the original case. It does not establish a proxy appeal action for another member.
Will an appeal restore my post right away?
No. Submitting an appeal marks the original case Appealed and creates a linked appeal case; it is not an immediate reversal or a promise that the post will reappear.
