What does a verified BSD Tail record actually verify?

A verified Tail record passes BSD's checks for a complete recorded history, at least 25 settled picks, and certification of every settled pick in that record. BSD describes those as protected automatic results on BSD. The label does not verify a sportsbook payout, a person's identity, every historic wager or any future return.

For BSD readers evaluating the verified label on a Tail record · Updated

The label applies to checks on the recorded results

The record is marked verified when its history is complete, it has at least 25 settled picks in the all-time record, and its certified count equals its settled count. The underlying record model counts a result as certified only when it is protected and its price is verified. These conditions describe the BSD record being shown.

The profile can also present the record's 30-day, weekly, daily and all-time summaries. Those views do not change what the verified label checks.

  • Read verified as a status on the current recorded results.
  • Check the displayed period separately from the all-time verification threshold.
  • Use the record's limits when judging what it says.

Verification does not certify claims outside that record

BSD's leaderboard rules describe verified results as protected automatic results on BSD and expressly say this does not verify a sportsbook payout. The label does not establish who a person is, what they may have done outside the recorded data, or what they will do next.

It is also not a guarantee that every historic wager an author ever made appears in BSD. Use the status as a bounded check on the current record, not as an unbounded statement about a person or future profit.

Illustrative example: interpreting a verified profile

Imagine a reader opens a fictional profile marked Verified record. They treat that as BSD's status for the available record under its stated completeness, settled-pick and certification checks. They do not treat it as proof of a sportsbook cash payout or a guarantee about the capper's identity or future results. This is a hypothetical reading example, not a real profile or performance claim.

Related questions

Does verified mean a sportsbook confirmed the payout?

No. BSD's rules state that verified refers to protected automatic results on BSD and does not verify a sportsbook payout. Check the sportsbook's own record for a personal settlement.

Does verified prove the capper's entire betting history is shown?

The status applies to the BSD record and its completeness checks. It does not prove that every wager outside the available recorded history is included.
