What do WON, LOST, PUSH and VOID mean on a BSD Tail card?
WON, LOST, PUSH and VOID are the stored outcome labels on a BSD Tail result. In the BSD result model, a win has positive net units, a loss has zero gross return, and a push or void has zero net units with return equal to reference stake. These labels describe the BSD record; they do not confirm a sportsbook payout.
For BSD readers interpreting an outcome label on a Tail card · Updated
Read the stamp as BSD's recorded outcome
The Tail card shows one of four stored outcome labels: WON, LOST, PUSH or VOID. Its result record keeps the outcome, reference stake, net units and gross return units as separate fields. The stamp tells you which outcome category BSD recorded for that result.
The record rules distinguish the unit presentation: a win must have positive net units; a loss has zero gross return; and push or void results have zero net units. Since gross return equals reference stake plus net units, a push or void shows gross return equal to the reference stake.
- WON is a stored win label with positive net units.
- LOST is a stored loss label with zero gross return units.
- PUSH and VOID are distinct stored labels; both have zero net units in this result model.
Do not infer an external settlement from the label
A stored outcome label is not a description of every sportsbook's grading policy. This result model does not explain why a particular sportsbook or league marked a wager as pushed or voided. It also does not turn the Tail result into proof that money was paid to a reader.
If you need to know how your own ticket was settled, check its sportsbook record. Keep the BSD result label and any personal cash settlement as separate information.
Illustrative example: reading a zero-net result
In fictional arithmetic, a Tail result has a 2u reference stake. A PUSH or VOID label is stored with 0u net and 2u gross return because return equals stake plus net. That is the BSD record's unit presentation, not a claim about league rules or a cash payout. No actual capper, pick or result is represented.

Does VOID mean the sportsbook returned my money?
The Tail label alone does not confirm a sportsbook settlement or cash payment. It is the BSD record's stored outcome category; check your own sportsbook record for the settlement of your ticket.
Is PUSH the same stored label as VOID?
No. BSD stores PUSH and VOID as distinct outcome labels, even though both have zero net units in this result model. The labels do not state the sportsbook-specific reason for the outcome.
