Why can a weekly result or recent-form chip be absent from a Tail card but visible on the profile?

The compact Tail card shows selected positive highlights, while the capper profile uses a fuller presentation. A negative weekly result or a recent sample that is not hot can be hidden on the compact card yet shown on the profile. Missing highlight text does not mean zero losses, no picks or no history.

For BSD readers comparing a Tail card with the selected capper profile · Updated

The compact card does not show every available chip

TailPerformanceChips applies a display filter when used in its compact mode. A recent-form chip appears there only when the last-eight sample has more wins than losses. A weekly chip appears there only when the certified weekly summary has positive units.

That treatment favors positive highlights. It is not a complete listing of the profile's recent form or weekly value, so an omitted chip cannot be read as zero results or zero losses.

The profile can show negative and non-hot values

The selected capper profile passes the full-truth setting to the same chip component. When the data is available, that setting allows a negative weekly value and recent form with no wins-greater-than-losses hot label to appear. The profile view therefore gives a fuller presentation than the compact card.

If the data is not available or does not pass its certification requirements, neither view creates it. Use the profile's displayed record and limits rather than treating a missing compact highlight as a result.

  • Open the profile to inspect the broader record presentation.
  • Read negative weekly units as negative; the profile preserves their sign.
  • Do not infer that a missing card chip means there were no picks or losses.

Illustrative example: a negative week on the profile

Imagine a fictional record with a certified weekly value below zero and an available recent-eight sample where wins do not exceed losses. The compact Tail card can omit both highlights, while the profile can display the negative week and Recent form. The card's omission is a display filter, not evidence of zero activity. No actual capper or result is represented.

Related questions

Does no weekly chip mean the capper had no settled picks?

No. The compact weekly chip is limited to a positive certified weekly value. Its absence does not prove there were no settled picks or no losses.

Why does the profile say Recent form instead of Hot streak?

The profile can show the available last-eight sample even when wins do not exceed losses. Hot streak is reserved for a sample with more wins than losses.
