What does an incomplete sportsbook-history import mean for my record summary?

An incomplete flag describes a record, not proof that your full sportsbook history has been imported. Before interpreting a summary, check its date window and whether it uses placement or settlement dates, then read each metric beside its known and missing counts. Provider connection and backfill coverage are separate from the records currently available to summarize.

First check which dates the summary covers

A history total is an answer about the records included in a particular view. Start with the displayed beginning and end dates, the timezone and the date basis. A placement-date view and a settlement-date view answer different questions: one groups records by when the ticket was placed, while the other groups them by when settlement was recorded.

Then check the selected source and any filters, such as sportsbook or result. An import-only view cannot describe self-reported manual rows. A date range is not a statement that the sportsbook supplied every record in that period, and the account's available dates are not necessarily the same as a complete betting history.

  • Note the summary's from and through dates and its timezone.
  • Check whether the dates refer to placement or settlement.
  • Read the selected source and filters before comparing totals.

A record gap and an import coverage gap are different

An individual imported record can be marked incomplete when the provider has not supplied enough ticket detail. That is a record-level condition. Separately, the connection or backfill may not represent the full history you expect. BSD describes that provider coverage separately from the available records it can summarize.

A count of available rows can therefore be accurate for the imported material while still being too narrow to describe every wager from the period. Check the connection's current status and what time span the provider made available; do not infer missing activity from a record flag alone.

Read each known and missing count beside its metric

The summary can report known and missing records for a figure such as net profit or settled cash risk. These counts belong to that figure. One amount may be known while another is unavailable for the same history set. The label for a known subtotal means the missing records were left out of that amount; it does not mean their values were zero.

Rate calculations also have their own denominator and exclusions. Check how many records qualify for that rate instead of assuming it uses every row in the visible list. Incomplete-record count, missing amount count and excluded-record count describe different things.

Look for records that cannot be placed on the date window

A record with no placement timestamp may fall outside a dated list. Settled records without a settlement timestamp also cannot be assigned to a settlement-date chart bucket. The summary can report undated open and settled records separately from its date-window groups.

If a dated view appears smaller than expected, inspect the undated counts and the available records without a date filter. They can explain why a record is missing from that window without establishing when the sportsbook placed or settled it.

Illustrative example: a subtotal with missing rows

Suppose a fictional bettor opens a summary with a settlement-date window and sees a known net subtotal beside a missing-record count. The bettor first confirms the date range and timezone, then checks the selected source. They inspect incomplete and undated records and compare the missing count for net with the count for cash risk. The subtotal describes only amounts the summary could include; the remaining rows have not been converted to zero. This example contains no real account or betting result.

Related questions

Does an incomplete flag mean the import failed?

Not by itself. It describes missing information on a particular record. Connection and backfill coverage are separate, so check their status as well as the individual row.

If a summary has no date start, does it include every bet I ever made?

It represents available records in the selected view. No start date does not establish that the provider supplied your entire sportsbook history.
