What information helps explain an unexpected change in a club staff role?
Start with the exact club and affected profile, then compare the current role and revision with any invitation or change receipt you are authorized to view. A role receipt can show the role, revision, and time of a change you initiated; an invitation may still be pending, accepted, or revoked separately. If you do not have a matching receipt or authorized history, do not guess who changed the role. Ask the current club owner to verify the record through the supported staff flow.

Record the current role and revision
The current staff view distinguishes an assigned role from its revision and active state. Write down the club, affected profile, role shown now, revision, and when you checked it. A member listing, a pending invitation, and an active staff role answer different questions.
- Confirm that you are looking at the intended club and profile.
- Check whether a role invitation is pending, accepted, or revoked.
- Do not treat a revision number as a reason or a staff rank.
Use a receipt for a change you actually made
A staff-change receipt can identify the target profile, resulting role, revision, and applied time. Match it to the change you initiated. If the current revision differs from an older receipt, that proves the record moved on; it does not by itself explain every intervening action.
Keep the investigation scoped
Share only the club, profile, role, revision, and relevant receipt with an authorized owner or staff member. Do not publish private member details or message content to explain a role issue. If no authorized history or receipt explains the difference, ask the current owner to check it rather than attributing the change to someone without evidence.
Hypothetical example: a pending invitation is not an active role
An owner invites a profile to become an admin. The invitation is still pending, while the current staff list continues to show the profile's prior active role. Checking both records explains the apparent mismatch without claiming that the new role has taken effect. This is a synthetic workflow example.

Does the current role list show who changed the role?
The current list shows the current role state, not necessarily a complete history of who changed it. Use an authorized change receipt or ask the current owner to verify the history available to them.
