Why are changes to club information reviewed separately from discussion posts?

Club information and discussion posts are separate pieces of content. A change to a club name or description has its own revision and configuration state; an edited post has its own revision and content state. A result for one does not approve, publish, or update the other. When a change appears incomplete, identify which record changed and check that record's current state before trying again.

Club details have their own revision

The club settings record contains fields such as its name and description, along with a revision and a state. That state can be pending, approved, or withheld. A settings receipt identifies the club and the revision applied, so it is the relevant record for a club-information change.

  • Check whether the change was to the club description or name.
  • Read the current configuration state before describing the change as approved.

A discussion post is tracked separately

A post has its own item identifier, revision, and content state. Post edits and moderation actions apply to that item. A club-settings revision does not tell you whether a post is pending, withheld, or deleted, and a post receipt does not confirm a settings change.

Match the status to the change you made

When two changes happen close together, keep their receipts or notes separate. Match each one to the club or post it concerns, then use the current state for that record. If the state is still pending or the response was uncertain, avoid repeating the action until you have checked whether it already applied.

Hypothetical example: a description edit and a post review

A creator updates a club description while a moderator is reviewing a discussion post. The description change receives a club-settings revision, while the post retains its separate revision and review state. Seeing the settings change appear does not establish the post's outcome. This is a synthetic example, not a real club or moderation case.

Does an approved club description make a post approved too?

No. Club configuration and discussion content have separate records and states. Check the specific post's current state for its outcome.
