Should I give a club administrator my BSD or sportsbook password?
No. Keep your BSD and sportsbook passwords, one-time codes, recovery codes, and sign-in approvals private. Club roles are permissions attached to a person's own authorized account; they are not a reason for an administrator to sign in as you. If someone needs help with a club action, share the relevant non-sensitive context and use the supported role or support flow instead of handing over credentials.
For Creators and community staff · Updated
A club role is not your account login
BSD's club permissions distinguish what a person may do inside that club. A member can read and post, a moderator can also moderate, an admin can configure, and the owner can manage staff. Each person should use their own account and the permissions assigned to that role.
- Do not share a BSD password, sportsbook login, recovery code, or two-factor code.
- Do not approve a sign-in prompt that you did not initiate.
Give staff the context they need, not your secret
For a club issue, identify the club and the action that failed. A concise description or non-sensitive reference may help the owner or staff member investigate. Remove private account details from screenshots, and use the current BSD support route if the issue needs account-level help.
Treat a password request as a warning sign
A legitimate staff task should not require another person's password or sportsbook credentials. If someone asks for them, do not send them in a post, direct message, email, or screenshot. Stop and verify the request through an official BSD channel.
Hypothetical example: help with a post without sharing a login
A moderator asks for a creator's password to inspect a discussion post. The creator keeps the password private and instead gives the moderator the club and post context through an appropriate support route. The moderator uses their own account and current role. This is a synthetic safety example, not a real incident.

Should I give a BSD club moderator my sportsbook password?
No. A club role does not authorize access to your sportsbook account. Keep those credentials and sign-in codes private.
