Should I share an affiliate link or invite people to my community?
Choose by the next action you want. Use your existing BSD affiliate link to refer someone to BSD through the partner program. Direct someone to your community when the goal is finding and joining that community. You can use both for different purposes, but a referral visit does not itself create club membership, paid access or research credits.

Use the affiliate link for a BSD introduction
If someone is asking what BSD is, an existing partner link gives them a route into the product with referral information attached. BSD's referral flow can bind that visit to an account during supported web sign-in.
That is attribution, not a membership receipt or an earnings promise. The referral system keeps the first eligible attribution and rejects self-referral; a later link does not necessarily replace an earlier referrer. Opening a link alone is not proof that an account was attributed or that a payout is due. Review your actual partner account and current terms for those details.
Use the community destination for a membership decision
If someone already wants your discussions and community, help them find your actual community in BSD. Use the destination the product provides and describe the next step accurately. Do not relabel a generic affiliate link as a one-click club join.
Here, inviting someone means asking them to visit your community. It is not a claim that BSD provides a special membership-invite URL, and it is not an invitation to become staff. Membership depends on the community's actual join and access state; following a profile is a separate action.
Match the message to the destination
Give the reader one clear next step. A general introduction can explain BSD and use your partner destination. A community invitation should identify the community and explain what is available there now. If both matter, explain the two steps instead of implying one link performs them both.
Share only where the destination's rules permit it. BSD's published feed rules prohibit affiliate offers and links in posts and comments; the existence of a partner program is not permission to paste referral promotions into the feed. Keep future paid-club prices, included credits and checkout promises out of a free-community invitation while those offers are unavailable.
- Introducing BSD: use the existing partner link and describe it as a referral.
- Inviting a member: identify the actual community and its current join step.
- Confirming success: check referral information for attribution and community membership for joining; neither confirms the other.
Hypothetical: two questions from the same audience
Suppose one person asks what BSD does and another already uses BSD and wants to find your free community. For the first, explain the product and provide your existing partner link in a channel that permits it. For the second, identify your community and direct them to its available join flow. If the first person later wants to join too, explain that as a separate step. Neither link click proves a membership, commission, research grant or wager. No actual signup or earnings result is assumed.

Will visiting a community change an existing referral attribution?
Community membership is separate from referral attribution. BSD's referral source preserves first-touch attribution; do not promise that a later visit or another referral link will replace it.
Does a partner-program account automatically create my club?
No. Referral attribution and free-club creation use separate product flows. Free-club creation requires an eligible existing profile and an explicit create action; partner participation is not proof that this happened.
